In our series #giving back at SalesPage, we highlight the different ways that members of our team are involved in their communities. This holiday season, the SalesPage team has made it our mission to be a force for good in our communities. We have been fortunate to experience growth in a time where many are struggling. This year, it was important to our team to use our success to help brighten the lives of others.
Salvation Army Angel Tree
In years past, our team found joy in giving by partnering with a local Kalamazoo housing organization to “adopt-a-family”. Now in 2020, with team members working remotely and in cities across the US, we wanted to expand our impact. We chose to partner with the Salvation Army to support the Angel Tree project. Team members in the Kalamazoo office chose a gift tag off our tree, and remote employees helped ship gift items and provide financial support.
Office manager Bridget Venus coordinated our efforts and gift drop-off. When she arrived with an SUV filled to the brim, the volunteers expressed surprise and delight at our “tiny but mighty” staff. Bridget was moved by the sight of the warehouse packed with toys, clothes, and necessities. She said, “It might seem like a ‘first world problem’ to not have a Christmas, but it’s a big deal for the kids. It’s a privilege to see because it is the embodiment of happiness, and happiness is so important to our well-being.”
Client Holiday Giving
The SalesPage family saw another opportunity to expand our giving impact by involving our partners and clients. In place of traditional holiday gift baskets, we made financial gifts in our client’s names to national non-profits. The organizations we chose fit our company culture and industry, and funds support basic necessities, financial literacy, and workplace diversity.
