Wednesday was the first instance of our SalesPage service program. We volunteered with Kalamazoo Valley Habitat for Humanity. For those unfamiliar with Habitat for Humanity, it’s a global, nonprofit organization that builds and rehabilitates homes for people in need of decent shelter regardless of race, religion, age, gender, familial status, and any other quality that too often divides us. Those that become homeowners put in 300 hours of ‘sweat equity’ and purchase the mortgage through Habitat. Here are some pictures from our day of service:
On the interior, we laid flooring, and caulked, painted, and sanded a kitchen pantry!
On the exterior, we hung siding on the garage!
We learned so much about Habitat, the Kalamazoo community, and each other. Did you know Kalamazoo has its own tiny house? Habitat built it!
A HUGE thank you to our SalesPage team members for donating their energy, time, and muscle! It was a fulfilling feeling to look at our work and know that a family will experience life’s important moments in that very place.
